I feel very lucky and grateful for being invited to collaborate with a poster design to be included in the awesome zine project 'SPLENDIDLY EVIL' :) ... In their own words:
"Splendidly Evil is a zine dedicated to the zany and colourful villains in the Powerpuff Girls. It features 40 artists each with their own spin on the many villains in the series. It is organized by Nneka Myers, Arielle Jovellanos, Pablo Leon, Abigail Dela Cruz, Geraldine Rodriguez, Mallory Carlson, and Sara Talmadge, also known as the Sinister Seven.
All proceeds will go towards the production of the book and donated to charity supporting classroom literacy and projects via DonorsChoose.org"

I took a course via Skillshare, it’s called Illustration and Lettering: A Hands-on Approach to Label Design and it’s presented by Jon Contino. Here’s what I came up with.
My product is a mexican fruity alcoholic beverage called 'Ponche Loco'. There's some play in there with the word 'Pinche' which means something like 'Damn', so It can read Ponche Loco or Pinche Loco, that is Crazy Punch or Damn Crazy.

About a year ago we were contacted by the agency Toolbox Design with an invitation to collaborate with them on a project. It consisted on the redesign of the ‘Steaz‘ brand (an organic and free trade green tea beverage company) and we were asked to do the illustration side of it.
It was a very friendly process, the art direction we got from Aleisha, Jamie and James from Toolbox was pretty clear and overall the whole project flowed painlessly from start to finish.
Our job was to generate illustrations for packaging, which included some textures and patterns inspired by leaves, with a very organic feel to them, and also we did some images of fruits representing the different flavors of the beverages, with the direction that they mantain a certain ‘close-to-real-life’ appeal yet with a dash of stylization.
We really liked how the whole graphic line ended up, and we want to give huge thanks to Aleisha, Jamie and James from Toolbox for the trust and the excellent work.Illustration2013
